What personal data we collect and why

If you choose to give us personal information via the Internet that we or our third-parties may need, to correspond with you, process an order, provide you with On-Demand services, it is our intent to protect the quality and integrity of your personally identifiable information. We collect only the information that is necessary to serve you.

ACCOUNT INFORMATION AND PASSWORD PROTECTION

If you create an account / user profile on this site, your information will be stored for as long as your account exists in your user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their own personal information at any time (except you cannot change your username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information. you will select a user name and a password so that you can access your account with us. You agree that you will keep this information confidential. You are completely responsible for activities regarding your account and password. You agree to log off of the services at the end of each session to prevent fraud on your account by third parties. If you think there has been unauthorized use of your account or password, you agree to immediately notify PILATESBODY by Kayla and cooperate with us to resolve it. You understand that if you do not follow the terms of this paragraph, we may suspend or terminate your use of this site. You understand that we are not responsible in any way, and will not be liable to you or to any third person, if you do not comply with the terms of this paragraph.

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

EMAIL AND EMAIL LOG

We use Mailchimp to manage our subscriber list. Their privacy policy can be found here. We will send email announcements only to the customers who have chosen to be added to our mailing list. We do not share your email with anyone else and we do not spam you.

When you use this site several actions (e.g. commenting) trigger the dispatch of emails. They contain information about you associated with your email address. Which data are part of these emails depends on the action performed. These emails are stored and accessible to the site management as log and are used for customer service, website management, and security purposes.

ONLINE STORE AND PAYMENTS

We collect information about you during the checkout process on our online store. Our team members have access to this information to help fulfill orders, process refunds and support you. When you purchase from us, we’ll ask you to provide information including your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, payment details and optional account information like username and password. We’ll use this information for purposes, such as, to:

ON-DEMAND SERVICES

Your On-Demand services are logged with your user account you create on this site. We store information about your On-Demand services for as long as your account exists. We store your course progress, including completion status, quiz scores, assignments and/or essay submissions (if applicable). We will also store comments on courses, lessons, topics, assignments, and essays if you choose to leave them.

Members of our team have access to the information you provide us. For example, order information such as your enrolled courses, course progress and username / email address. Any additional information added in your user profile can also be visible to the administrator(s).

Contact Forms

If you choose to use contact forms on this site, we only collect, if given: name, email, phone number. This information is only kept for completing your customer service purposes, and is not used for marketing purposes. When visitors or users submit a form, we capture the IP Address for spam protection. We also capture the email address and might capture other personal data included in the form fields. We use Google reCAPTCHA for spam protection. Their privacy policy can be found here.

COMMENTS

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
