Are you a big fan of Halloween like I am? It’s not my favorite holiday, but it is a close second! (The 4th of July is my favorite holiday because, hello, it’s in summer!!!) We do love dressing up and decking out our house and yard with our spooky Halloween decorations to scare all the neighborhood kids. Every year we try to add something new. And this year, we added two epic decorations to our yard that my husband actually made himself. A puking skeleton and a graveyard crypt coffin fogger. They turned out so cool and we had an absolute blast trick or treating and handing out candy!

And here we are in our Elsa and Olaf Halloween costumes!

We are now entering a season of gratitude and thankfulness — which I also love and need to practice more of in my life. Recently, I have been sharing on social media that I have been struggling with anxiety and battling something internally that I can’t quite pinpoint. It is causing me a lot of hurt and heartache. I noticed it specifically started coming on strong once I got my cycle back after Nash turned one-year-old and started really becoming his own little person, might I add – reckless little human!

Who would have thought parenting would be this hard and exhausting! You just care about those little mini-you’s so dang much. Another struggle we are working through is some behavioral challenges with my 3.5-year-old, Bobbi. She is quite the independent, sassy girl, and dare I say, an exact clone of me. Down to the little things like needing to have her covers and blankets pulled all the way up to her chin or she can’t sleep, for example. Now, this is a scary thought… two Kayla’s in this world?! All jokes aside, she is a smart and strong-willed child that is trying to navigate big feelings, sensory output and input, and impulse control which are causing major outburst and aggression specifically towards other children. We are seeking out Occupational Therapy (OT) and have her scheduled for an evaluation this month. I hope we can find some ways to help her out and help us better parent her behavior. I believe this is also playing strongly into my anxiety attacks and daily overwhelm.

How to Follow the Pilates Workout Calendars

  • Download either the Pilates Workout Calendar PDF or the pregnancy-safe Prenatal Pilates and Yoga Workout Calendar PDF.
  • Subscribe to the PILATESBODY On-Demand App to find all of the workout videos you need for this month’s calendar.
  • PROGRAMMING: The workout calendars are programmed for 6 workouts and 1 recovery/rest day per week and allow for any additional exercise you personally may do on top of Pilates.
  • Do each workout video once and check it off as you go.
  • Each day, the workout classes average about 30-minutes and have a specific focus in mind depending on the day of the week.
  • On the PBOD App, you can search all these classes in the search bar, and click the heart icon to “favorite” each workout for easy access.
  • New workout calendars will be released every month and can be easily downloaded right here on the blog.
