Hey, everyone!

I always know when May is here because we are celebrating everyone in my family’s birthday but mine! I am literally putting the finishing touches on Bobbi (our 3-year-old daughter) and Nash’s (our 1-year-old son) combined Princess/Prince themed birthday party as I write this PILATESBODY On-Demand App update!

I can’t believe I survived this last year. Life with 2 littles and being an entrepreneur has rocked me to my core—But, I freaking survived! And honestly, this party is probably more for me than it is for them. 😛 This last year has also opened up my eyes to an even deeper WHY of why I do, teach, and preach Pilates.

I want you to Pause. Stop. Take a deep inhale. Now exhale, while you count to 7. Notice in that moment how things briefly stood still, and how much clarity that moment just brought you. That is what Pilates and breathwork are bringing to my life, that is filled with so much chaos, right now. The mental clarity and the temporary peace within myself while I do Pilates is pure bliss. The ability to be present with my family and to give myself time for self-care so I can give 100% of myself back to them as a better parent and mom is a big part of the great reward. I am able to be less reactive, more patient, and more loving with my kids. I truly don’t think I would be in the place I am now with my kids if it weren’t for Pilates. And I truly, truly mean that.

I never knew if I wanted kids until my husband and I went to therapy together and had many long talks at our kitchen table about where our future was headed, and if it was together or not. We obviously made the choice to build a life together, but I had my doubts. To be honest, I was scared AF. I have very little patience and I am the baby of the family… by a long shot! Pilates gives me the time and opportunity to still put myself first so in return I can put others first. It has allowed me to see the clarity that movement is more than just movement for the physical side, and has allowed me to really tap into the mind-body connection piece this past year. I truly encourage you to take a leap. Instead of doing your fitness and movement for just that sweat factor, or getting the best pump, or accomplishing the hardest high-intensity workout you can, just be gentler with your body. Get to know your body a little better by teaching your body movement for more than just movement.

The May 2023 Workout Calendars for the PILATESBODY On-Demand App

Your PILATESBODY On-Demand Workout Calendars for May 2023 are below! Our certified Pilates and yoga instructors want to help you get in your daily movement and guide you into making exercise a routine. We have created these workout calendars just for you to make fitting your workouts into your daily life easier! We hope you enjoy and use these calendars as tools towards achieving a healthy body, mind and lifestyle!

Here’s what you can expect each day of the May Workout Calendar. Are you ready?!

May Daily Workout Focuses

SUNDAY: Recovery/Rest Day
MONDAY: Core/Abs
TUESDAY: Full Body
WEDNESDAY: Intention*
THURSDAY: Recovery/Rest Day or Workout of Choice
FRIDAY: Flow
SATURDAY: Core or Recovery/Rest Day
* Wednesday is your intention focused day. This means the workouts have a specific goal in mind (i.e. better sleep, booty, pelvic floor, strength, etc.)

How to Follow the Pilates Workout Calendars

  • Choose either calendar to download: the Pilates workout calendar or the pregnancy-safe Prenatal Pilates and yoga workout calendar.
  • Subscribe to the PILATESBODY On-Demand App to find all of the workout videos you need for this month’s calendar!
  • The calendars are programmed for 4 workouts and 3 recovery/rest days per week. This sets you up for success to complete all 4 workouts, as well as fitting in any additional exercise you personally may do on top of Pilates.
  • Do each video once and check it off as you go.
  • Each day, the workout classes average about 30-minutes and have a specific focus in mind depending on the day of the week.
  • On the PBOD App, you can search all these classes in the search bar, and click the heart icon to “favorite” each workout for easy access.
  • New workout calendars will be released every month and can be easily downloaded right here on the blog.

The workout calendars will change each month to keep your workouts fresh and exciting. Be sure to check our blog every month to download your workout calendar, or sign up for our email newsletter to automatically receive the free calendar in your inbox on the 1st of every month!

After you download your free PILATESBODY On-Demand workout calendar, you can save it to your phone for easy accessibility. Or, if you need the extra accountability like I do, you can print it out to hang on your refrigerator or put in your daily planner to enjoy crossing off your workouts once you complete them.

Join Kayla for a 20-minute Pilates glute strength and abs workout! We will be combining bodyweight booty strength training exercises with a heavy emphasis on your core during this circuit-style class. The majority of this workout is prenatal friendly (modification to last ab circuit as needed).

Postnatal Mother’s Day Yoga Flow Class

Tune into this yoga flow class to help connect to yourself and honor you as a mother and parent. This class will allow you time to reconnect to who you truly are as a mother and as a person, stretch out muscles that get tight from having a baby, and begin to strengthen and heal the muscles from carrying a baby.

Prenatal Yoga Core Class

In this prenatal yoga core class, you will be focusing on targeting the deepest core muscles while challenging and toning your body to prepare for birth. Take it pose by pose and use the different levels in each pose to work with your body at this stage in your pregnancy.
