This Month on the PILATESBODY On-Demand Workout App

Hey guys!

How has your summer been? I cannot believe August is here and that the majority of summer has now passed us by.

I just finished up my third full week of work back from maternity leave. As much as I miss being home snuggling baby Nash, being back in the Pilates studio with my clients has been amazing – it truly fills my soul! I’ve also been busy teaching my new, in-person Poolside Pilates Classes which have been a hit and so much fun. My Poolside Pilates Classes are complimentary and are held outdoors at my studio pool. How to Use the PILATESBODY On-Demand App

Real quick – Before we dive into the classes that launched this month, if you are new to it, here is a quick overview on how to use the PILATESBODY On-Demand App!

What is the PILATESBODY On-Demand App?

Think of the app as, “The Netflix of Pilates” – your best workout friend! Pilates anywhere, anytime, on any device with a Wi-Fi or data connection. The PILATESBODY On-Demand App offers professionally instructed, 100% virtual on-demand classes for all experience levels and body types. It is easy to use on any device, and the app includes features to help you get the most out of your Pilates workouts anywhere.

What classes will I have access to on the App?

After you sign up, you will have instant access to over 180+ on-demand Pilates workouts at the tips of your fingers. Each class is a full-length, follow-along-style, workout video with professional coaching during the entire class by our certified instructors. Every month, we add new classes to the app and you have access to all classes during the lifetime of your account. Here is a list of our current workout class categories:

Ab Blast, Bounce, Chair, Foam Rolling, Mat Pilates, Pilates Barre Fusion, Prenatal Pilates, Pilates Stretch, Pilates Strong, Prenatal Yoga, Postnatal Pilates & Yoga, Reformer, TRX Pilates, Tutorials, Yoga Flow

What fitness levels and body types are the workouts intended for?

The PILATESBODY On-Demand App workouts are designed for all experience levels and body types. In each video description, you will find that the workout is labeled either Level 1 (Beginner), Level 2 (Intermediate), or Level 3 (Advanced). During each workout video, you will be given professional instruction on modifications, adjustments, and suggestions so you can customize the movements even further to fit your needs!

What if I am pregnant or postpartum?

Not only are the certified instructors on the app Pilates and yoga professionals, we are moms too! We offer both pregnancy-safe workouts and postpartum-safe workouts on the app for you in the Pilates and Yoga categories. With that being said, it is ALWAYS IMPORTANT to listen to your body and consult with your doctor before starting any new form of exercise you are not used to.

Pilates and yoga can be continued throughout pregnancy, but you may need to avoid prolonged time on your back or belly. I recommend that you avoid any exercises if you start to notice abdominal coning. This typically occurs when doing an exercise incorrectly, or when an exercise puts too much stress on the abdominals. In addition, I recommend performing additional breathing exercises throughout your entire pregnancy.

As always, please consult with your doctor to find out their recommendations for you and your unique pregnancy or postpartum state.

This Pilates Postnatal Body Weight Strength class will help you lengthen and strengthen your muscles while working on your balance, stability, and toning your full-body. Kayla Brugger is 15 weeks postpartum, and this class includes clear instructions and motivation throughout to make it beginner friendly and appropriate for all fitness levels. In this Pilates class, you will find an abs/core series, a leg & booty series, and a side body/arm series.
